This new private house is built into the ground and oriented to make maximum use of sunlight. The latest thermo-concrete walls are used, along with a green roof. A geothermal heat pump, heat recovery and solar panels are used to minimise energy usage.
This innovative construction has given us useful experience of most of the latest design and construction techniques aimed at using sustainable materials and minimising energy usage. The project achieved a CPRE award.
